Terms & conditions

By contracting with UK Wild Adventures (referred to in these booking conditions as “we” or “us”) you (referred to in these booking conditions as “you” or “passenger”) will be accepting these booking conditions on behalf of yourself and all other persons using our services pursuant to a booking made by you.

A. Cancellation of bookings and refunds

  1. If you have to cancel your booking you must notify us immediately.
  2. Cancellations are validated only when acknowledged by UK Wild Adventures (by e-mail).
  3. Cancellation and refunds:

    For 1-day trip:

    • Cancellation 14 days or more before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will refund you 100% of the trip price paid minus fees we paid to PayPal or bank (min. GBP 5).
    • Cancellation 2 days or more but less than 14 days before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will issue you credit to use with us valued at 50% of the trip price paid.
    • Cancellation less than 2 days before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will not refund you for the trip.

    For all trips of more than 1-day duration:

    • Cancellation 42 days or more before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will refund you 100% of the trip price paid minus fees we paid to PayPal or bank (min. GBP 10).
    • Cancellation 14 days or more but less than 42 days before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will issue you credit to use with us valued at 50% of the trip price paid.
    • Cancellation 7 days or more but less than 14 days before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will refund you 10% of the trip price paid.
    • Cancellation less than 7 days before the trip departure: UK Wild Adventures will not refund you for the trip.

      If the passenger(s) finds a person (people) who will replace his/her seat we will refund the passenger the trip price paid minus transfer fee (min. GBP 10). The passenger may transfer his booking to a person who satisfies all the conditions applicable to the package (see Terms and Conditions), provided that the passenger gives reasonable notice (minimum 2 days before the date of departure) to UK Wild Adventures of his/her intention. The transfer is valid only when acknowledged by UK Wild Adventures (by e-mail). The refund can be processed once we receive the payment from the replacement passenger.

  4. We shall not issue refunds in any other circumstances. In particular, no refund will be made after the scheduled date or time of departure. Missed departures shall be treated as cancellations. We cannot be responsible for failure of public transport or traffic delays, which may prevent you from taking the trip/tour.
  5. We cannot be responsible for traffic delays or failures of public transport (trains, buses) used by UK Wild Adventures as a transport to or from the trip/tour.
  6. We cannot be responsible for any delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  7. Each trip/tour operates subject to sufficient demand. We reserve the right to cancel or alter arrangements. In this event all monies paid will be refunded if the trip/tour is cancelled, or you can choose to participate in the alternate arrangements. You will be informed by e-mail and/or via our Web site about the cancellation or arrangements at least 2 days before the departure date.

B. Responsibilities of the passenger

  1. Passengers should aim to be at the meeting point for their trip/tour at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.
  2. Passengers must allow plenty of time for them to return in time to connect with other forms of transport. We do not accept responsibility for any delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.
  3. Passengers are responsible for getting any luggage on or off the transport used. Passengers must also look after their luggage and personal effects at all times on the trip, unless arrangements have been made for accommodation.
  4. Stops are made during the trip/tour for sightseeing and refreshments. You must return to the agreed meeting point punctually within the time allowed for these stops. We may have to leave without you if your return is overdue, in which case, we shall not be liable for the consequences.

B1. Personal luggage and personal effects

  1. Passengers are responsible for getting any luggage on or off the transport used. Passengers must also look after their luggage and personal effects at all times whilst at the meeting point (pick up/drop off), at the stops and on the train, bus or mini coach.
  2. We will not be liable for loss or damage to luggage or its contents or personal effects resulting from carrying or leaving any luggage or personal effects.

B2. Accident or loss

  1. We have no liability for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or direct or consequential loss, however caused, unless due to our negligence, in which case our liability is limited to a maximum of the refund of the trip/tour cost.
  2. We shall not be liable for any loss, consequential loss, inconvenience or delay arising out of the breakdown or failure of any vehicles (trains, buses) or from circumstances beyond our control.

B3. Personal insurance

Personal insurance is not included. Passengers are advised to arrange their own personal insurance cover.

B4. Nuisances

  1. In the interests of all passengers the following rules apply:
    • a) Smoking - passengers are not permitted to smoke whilst on board transport we use. Passengers must also regard any No Smoking signs with respect when staying at any of hostels, hotels, restaurants, etc.
    • b) Drug and solvent abuse - passengers are not permitted to board or remain on board of any transport we use whilst under the influence of drugs and/or solvents and while staying at any of the hostels, hotels, restaurants, etc. we frequent.
  2. Failure to comply with any of the above may result in a passenger being required to leave the trip/tour in the interests of fellow passengers and clients. Should this occur the passenger will not be entitled to any refund or compensation and we shall be under no further obligation or liability to the passenger.

C. Changes to tours and excursions

  1. Every care will be exercised in the arrangement of tours. However, we will not be liable for unexpected and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  2. Changes may be made to trips/tours to respond to unexpected and unforeseen circumstances. Your guide has to exercise his/her discretion on the affects these may have on the trip/tour.
  3. If we fail to complete a tour within our control, we will provide suitable alternative transport. Our liability shall be limited to the cost of providing transport to the agreed drop-off points. We have no liability for any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or direct/consequential loss.
  4. Each trip/tour operates subject to sufficient demand. We reserve the right to cancel or alter arrangements. In this event all monies paid will be refunded. You will be informed by e-mail and/or via our website about the cancellation or arrangements at least 2 days before the departure date.
  5. In the event that an advertised place of interest shall be closed, every endeavour shall be made to substitute an alternative but we reserve the right to cancel or alter arrangements.
  6. The published pick-up and drop-off times are approximated. We have no liability for any loss, damage, delay, inconvenience or direct/consequential loss caused as a result of the late departure or return due to unexpected and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

D. Weather conditions

Under no circumstances can UK Wild Adventures be held responsible for any delay, deviation or cancellation due to weather conditions, nor can any trip be cancelled or amended by the passenger at any time on the basis of weather conditions.

E. General conditions

  1. We may at our discretion require any passenger to withdraw from any trip/tour at any time if we deem their acts offensive or a nuisance to other passengers. Should this happen, the passenger will not be entitled to any refund or compensation and we shall be under no further obligation or liability to the passenger.
  2. We reserve the right to use the photos and films from trips/tours where the passengers are displayed, on our Web site and other marketing materials. However, we will not distribute/forward the photos/films to the third parties. The passenger agrees he/she understands that there will be no financial or other remuneration for recording him/her, either for initial or subsequent transmission or playback.

F. Links to third-party sites

UK Wild Adventures site contains links to other Web sites which are beyond its control. UK Wild Adventures is not responsible for content on the Internet or World Wide Web pages on any site outside the UK Wild Adventures site.

G. Validity

These Terms and Conditions supersede all previous Terms and Conditions issued and are valid for all reservations made on or after 1st February 2011, until replaced.

Here at UK Wild Adventures we are committed to ensuring the privacy of our customers. Please read the following notice to help understand how we operate our online practices and how we collect and use your information.

During the booking process or when signing up to the mailing list, UK Wild Adventures will request personal information necessary to complete your request. Depending on the nature of your request we may have to ask you for contact information such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address or for financial information such as credit card details.

We only use the information given to us to complete your request. We do not share, sell or offer your information to any third parties (except to the extent necessary to complete a credit-card payment).
